Make Plarn Sleeping Mats for the Homeless

As the cold weather settles in, it’s easy to forget that while many of us are nestled in the warmth of our homes, others are without both shelter and comfort. In addition to our effort to provide blessing bags for the homeless this holiday season, we are excited to partner with DSquared Homes for the Homeless to create plastic yarn (plarn) sleeping mats, offering a bit of cushion for those without a bed.

Join us on Tuesday, December 10th at a community partner location: Mountain Park Health Center's Gateway Clinic, as we volunteer our time to create more comfortable sleeping mats for those in need. We are grateful to our partners for helping to make this event possible!

Please bring a pair of sharp scissors and some plastic grocery bags (thin ones—Fry's bags are ideal). We need around 800 grocery bags to create one plarn mat, so any donations will be…
